Hollywood 1939,
5 people checked in a glamorous Hollywood hotel, never to
be seen again! Many years later, the hotel re-opens its
doors for all guests to challenge the haunted service elevators...
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is a drop tower style
attraction with special effects and immersive decorations.
It's located at the centre of Walt Disney Studios Park and
is surrounded by a collection of Hollywood-inspired buildings
and streets.

- It's the tallest attraction at Disneyland Resort Paris
with its 55 meters (183ft).
- The attraction is almost identical to the version
in operation at Disney’s California Adventure.
Unlike this version, however, the Paris edition has
been constructed using formed concrete rather than a
steel skeleton, following French construction standards.
- Infact, this version of the Tower was originally
designed for Walt Disney Studios Park during the park’s
construction, with the ‘La Terrasse’ area
built in preparation for this. It was due to open in
2004/2005, but was quickly postponed as the park experienced
a poor opening season and the resort’s operating
company underwent another major financial restructuring.
At the same time, Disney’s California Adventure
park at Disneyland Resort had attendance troubles of
its own. In need of a quick-fix E-Ticket to save the
park, the Imagineers pulled out the plans for the Paris
tower and hastily affixed them to the Californian park’s
‘Hollywood Pictures Backlot’ zone, with
the attraction officially opening 5th May 2004.
- The Parisian/Californian attraction uses a style
known as ‘Pueblo Deco’.
