Posted by raptor1982 on Thursday, October 25 2007
Production Courtyard Stage welcomed after four years of cancelling the Sister Act 3 show a new gospel choir. The French group's performances and especially the guests' reactions are closely watched by management, since they're trying to bring back more live entertainment to the Walt Disney Studios Park, following the success of High School Musical on Tour. High School Musical On Tour premieres today!
Posted by Anthony on Saturday, June 16 2007
Inspired by the "High School Musical Pep Rally" shows of the American Disney resorts, Walt Disney Studios Park today premieres its brand new Summer show - High School Musical On Tour.Using a similar concept of a rolling stage, the show begins with an 11 minute performance in Backlot, before rolling along (led by cheerleaders) to the former performance area of Starring Cruella De Vil in Production Courtyard, for a second 11 minute performance, allowing two audiences to enjoy the show in one go. It then leaves via the CinéMagique/Disney Studio 1 gate. Photos Magiques have a new gallery of photos from today's premiere performances online already, which can be seen here.

A new feature has been added before each performance of Cinémagique: the Ciné Classics Band. The former West Street Band (which performed inside Disney Studio 1) has been moved to Studio 2 where they play live music right before the projector starts rolling, as it was in the old days of cinema. The bandstand in front of the Last Chance gas station at Disney Studio 1 has been completely removed (see photo), creating more space for the Cinéfolies crew.
High School Musical: confirmed
Posted by raptor1982 on Friday, January 26 2007
More changes are coming to Walt Disney Studios Park, this time in the form of a replacement. Starring Cruella De Ville, a show that has been running two summers on a row, is being exchanged for a show based on the popular Disney Channel movie High School Musical. No details are know yet, but it'll most likely resemble the current shows at Disney's California Adventure Park and Disney-MGM Studios Park. Rumours suggest that the Starring Cruella De Ville platforms will be rebuild for this new spectacle. High School Musical will be performed during the Summer Season from 16 June to 26 August 2007.
Will Cinéfolies get even Goofier?
Posted by raptor1982 on Wednesday, January 10 2007
You know how goofy Cinéfolies can get with the great performances by Miss Lou-Lou, Miss Candy Sweets, David Fox and many more. But if rumours are correct, we might see another character join the list, a Disney character that is! WDS Entertainment is reportedly working out some plans to add Goofy to the current Cinéfolies entertainment. The addition of a Disney character should make the show performances even more appealing for non-French/English guests and children.

Lights! Camera! Diversion!
Posted by Anthony on Thursday, July 6 2006
The rumoured diversion of Disney Cinema Parade in Walt Disney Studios Park has now begun. Due to extensive construction work in Animation Courtyard as part of the large "place-making" project to spruce up the land and give it more Disney theme, detail and beauty, the parade now travels solely through Production Courtyard and Backlot. As these latest photos from DLRP.fr show, the parade also travels in a reversed direction, with its finale taking place in Backlot after a grand opening between Disney Studio 1 and CinéMagique.Interestingly, the float order has also been altered, with Donald's director chair and Minnie's costume department arriving on set before Tinkerbell's original opening float, and The Lion King's script now travelling behind Pinocchio's clapperboard.
Characters moving in & out
Posted by raptor1982 on Wednesday, June 21 2006
Kenai and Koda, the well known stars from Brother Bear went into hibernation last year and weren't spotted for a long time at Walt Disney Studios Park. We got word that they're now moving to Frontierland at Disneyland Park were they'll have their own dedicated meet 'n greet location, near Rustler Roundup Shootin' Gallery. In return, new and rare face characters have started to appear at Animation Courtyard: Street Rat Aladdin, Pocahontas, Phoebus and Esmeralda. Appearently management is considering to give these characters a permanent home at Walt Disney Studios Park.
Cinema Parade interactions back?
Posted by raptor1982 on Friday, June 16 2006
Babybert on our message boards found out from his collegues at EPC that the former children interaction will return for the summer season. The parade route is being shortened because of the construction work going on at Animation Courtyard, forcing to parade to go off scene between Disney Studio 1 and Cinémagique. This will result in a shorter parade route, which is compensated by the interaction.
Flik character coming to WDS?
Posted by raptor1982 on Thursday, April 20 2006
Flik, the main character from A Bugs Life recently popped up at Sequoia Lodge for a meet 'n greet with resort guests. This could be rumoured as a test for the character before putting it into one of the themeparks. Walt Disney Studios Park has always been the home for most Pixar characters (The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, ...) so welcoming Flik in one of the production zones would make sense. More information isn't known for now. WDSfans is waiting for confirmation by WDS cm's. Photo source: Kawaikat on Disney Central Plaza

Cadillacs not returning for Good Morning WDS?
Posted by raptor1982 on Thursday, March 30 2006
WDSfans received information that the Cadillacs which were previously used in the Good Morning Walt Disney Studios parade might not return this year. A rumour has popped up that they might be replaced by brand new Opel convertibles. The Cadillacs had to be rented each year from a private collector what could explain why the management wants to exchange them for sponsored vehicles.
