| Animation Courtyard
Animation Courtyard was the previous name
of the current Toon Studio area. It held 3 attractions
(Animagique, Art of Disney Animation and Flying Carpets
over Agrabah), two Studio Catering Co. vans, Mickey's
Trailer and a few temporary meet 'n' greet locations.
In 2007 the area was expanded next to Art
of Disney Animation with 2 attractions (Crush's Coaster
and Cars Quatre Roues Rallye) and area development.
Trivia
- A part of the parade route used to
be a filmstrip running from Production Courtyard to
Flying Carpets over Agrabah. It was replaced in Toon
Studio with a checkerboard pattern.
- Animation Courtyard had several visual
intrusions beyond it's berm. Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom
Manor and the Disneyland Hotel were clearly visible.
- Buzz Lightyear Laserblast was at one time considered
to be build next to Art of Disney Animation.
- A real Disney animation studio was supposed to be
build on Animation Courtyard, but these plans fell through
during the construction of the park.
