Disney Cinema Parade

The story
The progress of a movie, from script to the theatre premiere.

The parade
Disney Cinema Parade was introduced to the Walt Disney Studios Park a few months after its opening in 2002. It was designed by Franco Dragone, a Belgian art director who has also designed for Cirque du Soleil and Céline Dion.
The parade tells the story of the progress of a cinematographic production spread over 9 original floats. Each float represents a Disney character or movie.

Fun facts
» Disney Cinema Parade premiered 1st June 2002 and finished performing on 31th March 2008.
» An additional float was added in 2003 with the latest Disney stars. In fact, it was a repainted float from the Wonderful World of Disney Parade.
» A parade stop was featured from 2002 until 2004 and returned again in 2006 until its final performance in 2008.
» The parade was rerouted a couple of times in 2006 and 2007 due to the constructions of Toon Studio and Hollywood Blvd.
