News update 7-9 March 2008

Disneyland Park
Only major news to report on Disneyland Park is the refurb of Sleeping Beauty Castle's bridge. The entire structure is wrapped in scaffolding, but will remain accessible for guests for the time being.

Hakuna Matata's watertower is currently also receiving a small refurb, and Peter Pan's Flight remains under scaffolding for over a month now.

Walt Disney Studios Park
Moving over to Walt Disney Studios Park which is receiving significantly more visitors through its turnstiles. On certain days this is causing some issues with waiting time even with all turnstiles operating. On Sunday 9 March, the queues were so long at noon, that 2 additional "turnstiles" were improvised in front of the Studios' main gate.
In addition has WDS' own guest storage re-opened after many years of closure.

On Front Lot has the middle part of the Walt Disney Studios Store been transformed into a Disney Princess shop with Princess decorations and a large assortment of Princess dresses and toys.

Cinémagique's left side is currently surrounded by the famous green construction fences for a complete repaint. The purple border above the queue line has been turned into a white/creme colour and a large chunk of wall inside the waiting area has been painted purple instead. Also, some of the lightbulbs are being replaced by flashing strobe-lights.
Nearby on Disney Bros. Plaza we noticed that the hole left by a removed lighting rig has finally been filled up with concrete.

Hopping over to the very end of Backlot where Café des Cascadeurs ' signs are still not brought back after a month. Across Café des Cascadeurs have the creme-colours on the Catering Co. van been replaced by a catchy red and black style.

On Saturday our camera snapped the two heroes from Meet the Robinsons wondering around in Toon Studio.

The just released Disney DVD 101 Dalmations is currently being advertised all over Walt Disney Studios Park, from posters to standees to place mats at the counter service restaurants.

Stitch Live!, the newest attraction in the Television Tour building has soft opened during the week for all park guests and during the weekend only for anual pass holders. Please notice that we have not included pictures of the actual show room where photography is strictly forbidden.

Disney Village
Work on the new planters keep going on all over the Street. Construction on the former Café Mickey terrace is still happening, as well on the new food kiosk next to Disney Village's main entrance.
Construction fences have now been placed in front of Billy Bob's where it's iconic neon sign has been taken down.
Over at Planet Hollywood has a long deserved repaint started on the first two parts of the globe.

A small arcade has been opened at the very end of the covered area between the Sports Bar and the Disney Store.
