| Discovery Arcade
The Discovery Arcade is a covered walkway
allowing guests to travel quickly from Town Square to
Discoveryland during bad weather or entertainment on Main
Street like parades and fireworks. It also hosts an exhibition
featuring original miniature models and protoypes of inventions
made during the early 1900's.
Trivia
- One of the miniatures in the many
windows is a scale model of the Hyperion airship, located
nearby at Videopolis.
- A collection of posters created by
Walt Disney Imagineering artists show American cities
as seen by visionaires from the 1800's.
- Nearly all models and prototypes are
originals and were purchased by Walt Disney Imagineering
in the years before the park opened.
- A scale model of the first ferris
wheel replaced the sponsored window (previously Renault
and Opel) in 2009.
