in an archaeological excavation setting.
Trivia
- Opened 30 July 1993, but was inaugurated
in December 1993 by George Lucas himself.
- This attraction was the first Disney
roller coaster to have an inversion.
- Also refered to in English as Indiana
Jones and the Temple of Peril.
- Modified in 2000 to Indiana Jones
and the Temple of Peril... Backwards in which the
trains travelled backwards. This required changes to
the track and trains.
- In 2004 the trains were turned around
again to their normal forward moving position.
- In 2005 Tokyo Disney Sea opened an
identical coaster with a different theming.
- Previously sponsored by Esso.
