Wonder through the streets of an American town at the turn of the century.
Main Street, U.S.A. is inspired by Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri and is a returning theme in every other Magic Kingdom-style park. In Disneyland Paris however, a 1920’s theme was first considered, but was later dropped and exchanged for the original look and feel. Some ideas did stick around, like the large billboards on the roof tops.
In Disneyland Paris there are 2 covered walkways on each side of Main Street, called the Discovery Arcade (leading to Discoveryland) and the Liberty Arcade (leading to Frontierland). These are unique to the park and are frequently used by guests during bad weather and parades.
