| Fantasia Gardens
Fantasia Gardens is a large garden area
in front of the Disneyland Hotel. It features gazebo's,
the world famous Mickey Mouse floral and a statue in honour
of the European Disney Legends.
Trivia
- Early concepts for Fantasia Gardens
show an ice skating rink as centre piece.
- The Disney Legends statue is a copy
of the same statue at the Walt Disney Studios headquarters
in Burbank. It was added in 1997 to Fantasia Gardens.
- The personalized bricks are no longer available for
purchase.
- One of the gazebo's in the gardens
is dedicated to Paul Séramy. He was a senator
of the Seine-et-Marne region and one of the driving
forces behind the Euro Disney project. The boulevard
leading up to the Disneyland Paris hub is named after
him. He passed away 2 months before the park officially
opened.
