How busy will it be on... ?

I'm going around the same time, I saw a previous post from like early 2009 I think that said it's a decent time to go. Better on weekdays than the weekends of course. Previous poster said 10-30 min average wait on most rides (heard some are 90-120 so 10 mins sounds nice) on the weekdays.

I'm also going there around those dates (9-11). We were there 3 years ago at the same time and it was very reasonable; some rides had very long queues (particularly Crush, it has just opened then but it still has huge queues), but most of them were around the 10 minutes, it was great. During the week, that is. As dgdough says, weekends are a different matter...

I'm going to Disneyland with my parents, and we will arrive on the second of september. Will it be busy? My mother told me that a lot of schools are starting on the first of september.

It shouldn't be as busy as it is in the height of summer, however there will be a fair few people there for the last chance holidays as schools do usually start early September again. Hope you have a nice time!

We are going 2nd feb next year
We went 23rd Jan this year and if you are prepared for cold weather you will be fine. We had thermals underneath our clothes and didnt really feel the cold at all.
It rained once and we did stop to have lots of hot drinks (and it wasnt too busy either )

We went 23rd Jan this year and if you are prepared for cold weather you will be fine. We had thermals underneath our clothes and didnt really feel the cold at all.

Does anyone know how busy it will be 18-23rd dec? I was assuming it was going to be terribly busy but there are 3 days where it is closed to annual pass holders which i hope means fewer people?

Generally when its a blackout day for Annual Passport Holders it means they expect large volumes of guests. I went early december once on a weekend and it was really busy and I am guessing the lead up to Christmas will be very busy

I assumed that christmas would be really busy but then someone on another thread said they went around the same time and it wasnt as busy as they had thought if anyone went around 18th-23rd last year perhaps they will let us know
Also does anyone know about visiting Santa and when the best time is to do that as i am also assuming the queues for that will be rather big

Also, what's the best day of the week to visit the park for minimal crowds/queues? I would imagine Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays are the quietest days.

Wednesday is not always quiet Alan, as a lot of the local schools have half days or the day off, so it can be busier. Not as bad as the weekend, but certainly busier than you may think.

i went once in in november (for the fireworks) and it was dead, i think the longest queue we had to wait in was about 20 mins for BTM, so you might be lucky and get that again =] but a word of advice, take a warm coat, or a second thiner one, ebcause when we where there the mornings where foggy and very chilly it warmed up as the day went over but not by much, but still enjoy your trip =]

Thanks for the advice Swipatron. Must remember that warm coat. Wearing two pairs of socks usually helps too.

Dead sounds great to me. I can't imagine Disneyland Park being dead. I went in January 2008 and the queues were still really long.

Any idea what the opening hours will be in November? I imagine Disneyland will be open from 10:00 until 18:00, a short 8 hours. I guess we'll know nearer the time.

your welcome, i would also take my 'park being dead' with a pinch of salt, when i went in november it was... 2004/5 i think, so alot has changed since then, so it could be a repeat of what i experienced or it could be busy, heres for hopeing it will be like it was for me, =]

as for the park opening times at the moment the disneyland website is giving opening times for mid october, so i would suggest checking back maybe mid next month and you might be able to find out then =]
